Firewise Community Project
Hey Neighbors - Now that Spring is officially here, we turn our attention to cleaning up and getting organized. The official National Firewise Community Project day is May 4th (1st Sat in May) however, opening day for the El Paso County slash/mulch site is also that day. Since we typically bring large truckloads to the site as part of the Pine Needle Pickup Project, it might be too hectic/time consuming to do that on their opening day. I would propose we conduct the Wildwood Village HOA Firewise Project on May 10th or 17th. Your feedback and input are welcome to: Redzranch@gmail.com. Sarah Pelton, WWVHOA Firewise Rep" |

Matching Mitigation Funds
Hello Firewise Neighbors: As discussed in the last HOA meeting, I've since learned that the Colorado State Forest Service has $10,000 available to our community that wasn’t used from another project. The money is a 50% reimbursement of expenses or the landowner’s own labor up to a maximum reimbursement of $1,000 per acres. In
order to streamline the process and find out whether you are eligible
to receive reimbursement, PLEASE CONTACT DAVE ROOT DIRECTLY (719) 687-2921 David.root@colostate.edu. Make sure you mention you are from Wildwood Village - Black
Forest (there is another WWVHOA in another county). Use this form to track mitigation work hours on your property Regards, Sarah Pelton |
